About the MOC
Protean is a spur of the moment MOC I built after fiddling around with the technic seat used as the basis of his head. Next I built the shoulders and the Lego Game Dice I got I believe from a goodie bag at Bricks By the Bay were staring at me through the clear drawer they were sitting in.
After that everything else came pretty naturally. I chose this color scheme because it was unique and after the parts usage of the head and the shoulders, I wanted more about this MOC to be unique, so I picked a color scheme I had never done before.

Pr0t34n(Protean) is part of my "Liberated Robots" series. He is a multi-purpose droid used in many commercial and industrial settings. This particular unit was tasked with working in a warehouse stowing and picking boxes for orders.
Due to a glitch in his personality coding after being liberated by Grayskayl's liberation code, Pr0t34n always feels compelled to carry around a cardboard box, even if there's nothing in it and he has no where to put the box. If he loses his box or it gets destroyed, he becomes very sullen and doesn't wish to partake in the group. Because of this, the gang makes sure there's always a box for him. Luckily cardboard boxes are pretty plentiful in urban areas
Snip like usual tried to steal Pr0t34n's box like the little klepto tries to steal everything else. Luckily Pr0t34n didn't mind and even gave the little thief a ride in his box, not an honor he extends to many.

Man I almost forgot to comment this one with all the exams xDD
So glad to have another Liberation Robot! I love those "little" guys <3 This guy could be my favourite of them (after P1NG, of course), because he's pretty much perfect. The color scheme is brilliant, never expected to see those two colors blend so well; and they are quite nicely distributed without the interference of other colors (aside a bit of unavoidable black). The proportions of the build work well and the color lacks not only gaps but stiffness too, thanks to all that System and CCBS usage. The head is pretty good, and while it could have been the basis of the MOC in combination with the LEGO dices (great use of parts, of course), I feel like they are quite eclipsated for the rest of the concepts. Not only the color scheme, which is a very significant attribute, but the concept of the cardboard box too. It makes the MOC so full of character! And the box is quite well achieved too

P.S: miss a picture of the whole gang, specially since for now you don't have to put 30 of them in one place
