Description

I commissioned :iconlala-volpe: to do one of her "Concept Art Style" tier digital paintings of my Self MOC Matteo. This wonderful piece is the result of her amazing ability to digitally paint and to interpret my suggestions.

To share with you all what I personally love about this piece I will quote what I posted in the form of a comment on Her Deviation
Angela you definitely don't have to worry. This is amazing! I'm completely satisfied with this and I'm so glad you are. I know I'm repeating some of what I said, but who cares It needs to be here on the actual deviation.

I love the gritty feel of it. It looks so dirty and kinda looks like a painting that got a little roughed up or something. Then it just stops on masked Matteo and the foreground. Love that.

Then As I mentioned earlier, the way you handled Matteo's face is so much win. Its covered up enough to not give it all a way. You still cant see his mouth or chin all that much, and that's good cause it leaves that bit of mystery. Even in the big reveal of Matteo's true face we only get a scratchy cracked somewhat obscure reveal. That's a stroke of shear brilliance Angiela. :iconbrilliantplz: You actually managed to make him look scarier without the mask on than with it. He looks like the kind of man that could get away with everything Matteo could. He has that look like he could be ruthless cold blooded murder, or suave and charming. He ended up being good looking to. I wasn't sure if he would be. You followed my descriptions pretty well.

Masked Matteo also looks like someone I wouldn't want to meet in a foggy London back alley. Plague doctors look creepy enough in their standard form. Matteo's an extreme PD. Seeing this, I can picture him having to spend a lot of time and effort convincing and assuring customers he's not a monster or is gonna murder them, and those he will won't have any doubt that he's a force to be reckoned with.

I've been quietly squealing through this whole process really. When I initially decided to commission you, I was gonna do it so that I could get as much detail as I could out of this. Instead it sorta went in a quazi different direction. Its actually a lot more vague than I hoped, but brings all that mystery to him so you actually got me to like exactly what I was trying not to get. That's like...words can't describe that LLV. :wow:

I'll definitely be coming back for another commission in the future. I think "totally ridiculously awesome fight scene with Matteo using his blades" is next. :D But for now, i'm gonna thoroughly enjoy this personal masterpiece.

In case you're curious I payed her a little more than the required amount for the second tier level commission. For this forever-to-be-cherished piece of art I paid $5.64(USD) to have this made. Given the outcome, I'd say it was worth every peny/point. I need to thank everyone who donated the points to me that made this possible.

and =Dark-Aberration were the significant contributors of points. If You gave a point or a few Thank you as well.

To anyone with a character or an idea that they want professionally done and handled. I highly recommend =LaLa-Volpe She charges very reasonably, does amazing work(check out her Gallery), communicates well, and does things promptly. Plus she's way awesome to just talk to.
